My response to The Accused

In the film 'The Accused' Directed by J Kaplan (1988)i thought this very shocking and hard to watch especially the rape scene. I found it shocking as when Sarah starts to explain what happened into detail you get picture and you start to feel sorry for her as it is very horrific. The scene that i found very hard to watch was the actual rape scene as it shows the ordeal that she went through where three people raped her and all the other men were egging each other on to go next. I found it hard to watch as no one tried to even stop it, stick up for her or show they knew it was wrong ans especially her friend just left her alone. I was shocked at the scene where the man approached her in the video store and made a joke out of it by doing hand gestures and not even showing any sympathy or remorse for her. I think it would personally be more shocking to a female to watch as she can identify with the character and relate to her to some degree, especially as you start to get to know the character at the begining and know that no one will believe her.

My response to Life Of Brian

In the film 'Life Of Brian' Directed by T Jones (1979) i can see why some people would find this film offensive or banned. I personally don;t find this film offensive but that could be the reason that i am not religious. I can see why some people especially religious people would find this film offensive ad it basically shows how easily led and manipulated people were. This film also could be offensive as some people take the bible to extremes and live by it and this film doesn't take it seriously and make fun out of it.
